Softball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Ada's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Ada finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the Elmwood Royals by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ada moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Elmwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Ada will face off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elmwood, they will square off against Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Royals have won three straight at home, while the Patriots won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
