Basketball Recap: Timpview Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Timpview won the last time they faced Maple Mountain, and Livi Eyre did her part to make sure it happened again. The Timpview Thunderbirds secured a 49-44 W over the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles on Friday thanks to Eyre, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tasi Galeai was another key player, putting up 16 points. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashlynn Lainhart, who posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Bailey, who put up 17 points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Timpview and bumps their season record up to 13-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for Maple Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Timpview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maple Mountain, they will be playing at home against Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
