Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit North Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Lee's Summit North lost to Grandview back in February of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Lee's Summit North Broncos walked away with a 73-62 victory over the Grandview Bulldogs. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lee's Summit North is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Grandview, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee's Summit North will challenge Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grandview, they will square off against Winnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Grandview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
