Recap: Middleton Cardinals vs. Sun Prairie West Wolves
The Middleton Cardinals were the 51-50 winner over the Sun Prairie West Wolves when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Middleton fell to Sun Prairie West 77-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (65), Middleton still had to take the loss.
Chris Davis Jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with three steals for Sun Prairie West. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Davis Jr has scored at least a third of Sun Prairie West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavian Crawford, who scored 13 points.
Middleton are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4. As for Sun Prairie West, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Vel Phillips Memorial the next time they take the court. Middleton will host Vel Phillips Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sun Prairie West will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
