Basketball Recap: United's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

United fought the good fight in their overtime game against Alexander on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Alexander Bulldogs 75-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (65), the Longhorns still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why United lost, don't look at Evali Idrogo. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 13 on her way to 23 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most points Idrogo has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandra Idrogo, who posted 21 points along with four blocks and three steals.

United's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-15. As for Alexander, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season.

United will face off against Steele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in United's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. Alexander does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
