Baseball Recap: West Greene Gets the Win

West Greene barely beat Sewickley Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Sewickley Academy on Tuesday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with Sewickley Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lane Allison was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Lucey, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

West Greene's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Sewickley Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, West Greene will take on Mapletown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Sewickley Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Quaker Valley on the 3rd.
