Somerville extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Aidan Vesuvio-Bush. The Pioneers walked away with a 40-28 victory over the Plainfield Cardinals on Friday thanks in part to Vesuvio-Bush, who rushed for 288 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 80 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards.

Somerville's record now sits at 7-1. As for Plainfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Somerville will head out to square off against Watchung Hills Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they will take on Linden on Friday.
