Westlake win going away against Elyria Catholic

The Westlake Demons fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Elyria Catholic 27-7. For Westlake, this counts as revenge for the 42-13 defeat Elyria Catholic walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.
Matthew Porcelli continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 287 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Porcelli is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.
Westlake's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Elyria Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Westlake will be playing at home against Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Elyria Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
