Basketball Recap: Conant Victorious

After losing to Lake Park the last time they met, Conant decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Conant Cougars managed a 47-43 win over the Lake Park Lancers on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly four points.

The victory made it two in a row for Conant and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Lake Park, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conant will face off against Rolling Meadows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rolling Meadows has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-0 during that stretch of close contests. As for Lake Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheaton North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheaton North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Lake Park likes a good challenge.
