East Central came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South Dearborn Knights a 3-0 shutout. The Trojans' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

The team relied heavily on Collin Harrill, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cole Reynolds, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

East Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for South Dearborn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
