Baseball Recap: Lebanon Warriors vs. Sycamore Aviators
Lebanon and Sycamore squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lebanon had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aviators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2015.
Lebanon got a good showing from Austin Mullikin, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mullikin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lebanon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Keffaber, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Peyton Livingston, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Lebanon's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Sycamore, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15.
