Franklin is a perfect 10-0 against Oil City since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will take on the Oilers at 4:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Franklin is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Grove City on Saturday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Franklin have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Oil City's offense. They lost 4-0 to North Clarion on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Oil City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 538th, while North Clarion are ranked 159th).

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Oil City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Franklin's way against Oil City in their previous matchup back in August, as Franklin made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
