Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Central). Everything went their way against the Mt. Vernon Wildcats on Saturday as they made off with a 5-0 win. It was an even better day for Hannah Dyer as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory was the third in a row for Evansville Central, bringing their record up to 3-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Mt. Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Evansville Central will challenge Owensboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Vernon, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Boonville on the 2nd.
