Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville lost against McKinney North back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greenville Lions were beaten by the McKinney North Bulldogs 58-22. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1047th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 317th).

Ryhan Balous continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for McKinney North, putting up 14 points and five steals. That's the most steals Balous has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Chloe Kostka, who posted five points and three steals.

Greenville dropped their record down to 5-21 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for McKinney North, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Greenville has already played their next match (against Melissa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McKinney North has already played their next game, a 54-34 victory against Sherman on the 14th.
