Basketball Recap: Parkview Christian Takes a Loss

Parkview Christian was the 75-52 winner over Brownell Talbot when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Parkview Christian Patriots lost 69-44 to the Brownell Talbot Raiders on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since December 27, 2024.

Despite the loss, Parkview Christian still got an impressive performance from Guilherme De-Lima, who went 7 for 16 en route to 23 points and four steals. De-Lima's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tairren Scott, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

John Schinzel had an outrageously good game for Brownell Talbot as he went 9 of 12 on his way to 26 points. The dominant performance gave Schinzel a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Rhett Urzendowski, who scored seven points and seven boards.

Parkview Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Brownell Talbot, their record is now 7-8.

Parkview Christian will host Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brownell Talbot, they will head out to take on Weeping Water at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brownell Talbot is facing Weeping Water at the right time seeing as Weeping Water is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
