Football Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Berwick

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covenant Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Berwick Panthers 67-26. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Covenant Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points over those games. As for Berwick, their record now sits at 1-5.

Looking ahead, Covenant Christian Academy will square off against Hanson Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Berwick, they will challenge Erath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
