Harrison County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Holy Cross Indians a 13-0 shutout on Friday. The Thorobreds/Fillies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 25 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was Harrison County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 33-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-15-1 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Harrison County beat the Indians by a score of 13-0 later that day.
