Volleyball Game Preview: Oldenburg Academy Twisters vs. Greensburg Pirates

Oldenburg Academy hasn't had much luck against Greensburg recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Twisters will square off against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Oldenburg Academy earned a 3-1 victory over South Decatur. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Twisters.

Oldenburg Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Greensburg got the win against Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Greensburg won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

Oldenburg Academy's record is now 18-4. As for Greensburg, their record now sits at 22-1.

Oldenburg Academy couldn't quite get it done against Greensburg in their previous matchup on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Twisters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
