Basketball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short

Forreston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Newman Central Catholic Comets and fell 81-10. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hannah Vinnedge was Forreston's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Forreston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Newman Central Catholic, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Forreston will be taking part in a tournament against Milledgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newman Central Catholic, they will take on Earlville in a tournament on Tuesday. Earlville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
