Volleyball Recap: Powell Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Lyman

Powell faced Lyman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers skirted past the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since September 12th.

Powell found their leader in sophomore Abigail Visocky, who had 25 digs and three assists. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Visocky.

Powell's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 15-11-1. As for Lyman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12-1 record this season.

Powell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Mountain View on the 11th. As for Lyman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Worland on the 11th.
