Baseball Game Preview: Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks vs. Perham Yellowjackets

The Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Perham Yellowjackets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Minnehaha Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt St. Paul Central on Friday. The Red Hawks blew past the Minutemen 9-3.

Meanwhile, Perham had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out DeLaSalle 5-3.

Gavin Griffin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.
