Basketball Recap: Merrimack Takes a Loss

Merrimack and Manchester Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Merrimack had to settle for second. They fell to the Manchester Memorial Crusaders 42-37. The Tomahawks lost against the Crusaders in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-22 score last time.

Merrimack's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Manchester Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-14.

The future could be bright for both Merrimack and Manchester Memorial: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Merrimack will look to extend Nashua North's six-game losing streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Manchester Memorial will try to hand Trinity their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
