Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Has No Trouble Against Gorham Fayette

Evergreen won the last time they faced Gorham Fayette and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings blew past the Eagles 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Evergreen was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-16, 25-16.

Lanae Manz paced Evergreen's offense, picking up nine kills. Manz got some help from Lissa Roesti and her 17 assists. Manz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gorham Fayette, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Evergreen will host Holgate at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. After both having extra time off, Gorham Fayette and Edon will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
