Recap: West Lowndes Panthers vs. Houlka Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Noxubee County, the West Lowndes Panthers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They really took it to Houlka for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-35 victory at home. That 33 points margin sets a new team best for West Lowndes this season.
Houlka lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Neal Moore, who scored five points along with two steals.
Houlka struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
West Lowndes' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9. As for Houlka, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing West Union the next time they take the court. West Lowndes will host West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Houlka will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
