Basketball Game Preview: Pine Plains Bombers vs. Ellenville Blue Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Pine Plains Bombers will head out on the road to face off against the Ellenville Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pine Plains is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering O'Neill just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by the Raiders and fell 66-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bombers have suffered since December 22, 2024.

Ellenville played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They blew past Rhinebeck 63-43. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Pine Plains' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Ellenville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Pine Plains took their win against Ellenville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 55-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pine Plains since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
