Softball Game Preview: Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals vs. Oak Lawn Spartans

Blue Island Eisenhower hasn't had much luck against Oak Lawn recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Blue Island Eisenhower has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blue Island Eisenhower is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Lemont on Thursday. They came up short against the Lemont HS, falling 16-1.

Blue Island Eisenhower saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayllin McHenry, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Oak Lawn got the win against Thornton Fractional North on Monday by a conclusive 16-1. Considering the Spartans have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Oak Lawn got a massive performance out of Teagan Kryzstof, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Kryzstof has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Anderson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

Oak Lawn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Oak Lawn's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.
