Softball Recap: Maine South Comes Up Short

Maine South fell victim to Loyola Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Ramblers. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Ramblers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Maine South saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Story, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Maine South now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Loyola Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maine South will square off against Glenbrook South at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Loyola Academy, they will face off against Montini Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
