Volleyball Preview: St. Joseph Academy Flashes vs. Crescent City Raiders

St. Joseph Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Crescent City Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, St. Joseph Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Flagler Palm Coast and fell 3-2. The Flashes have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Joseph Academy took Flagler Palm Coast into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 19-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Crescent City unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Menendez by a score of 3-2.

Despite the loss, Crescent City had strong showings from Reagan Chayer, who had 31 digs and two aces, and Susana Onofre, who had 25 digs and two aces. The dominant performance gave Onofre a new career-high in aces.
