Kelly Walsh faced Laramie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Plainsmen 2-1. The Trojans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.

Lillian Hudson paced Kelly Walsh's offense, picking up nine kills. Hudson got some help from Noa Hodgin and her 12 assists. Gia Ireland controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Laramie lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sia Taufa, who had nine digs and one assist.

Kelly Walsh's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Laramie, they moved to 18-3 with that loss, which also ended their nine-match winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kelly Walsh will host Jackson Hole at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laramie, they will face off against East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
