Volleyball Recap: Odessa Takes a Loss

After flying high against Permian on Friday, Odessa came back down to earth. The Bronchos came up short against the Midland Legacy Rebels on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Midland Legacy scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-22.

Odessa has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season. As for Midland Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 29-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Odessa will square off against rival Midland at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Midland Legacy is set to face off against their familiar foe Frenship at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
