Soccer Recap: Franklin Has No Trouble Against Montwood

Franklin kept a clean sheet against Montwood on Friday. They put the hurt on the Montwood Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Montwood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ainsleigh Thomson, Scarlett Orwig, and Doriela Norzagaray.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. This is the second loss in a row for Montwood and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Coming up, Franklin will challenge Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Pebble Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebble Hills' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
