Recap: Frontier Academy Wolverines vs. Wellington Eagles
The Frontier Academy Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 75-42 win over Wellington at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Frontier Academy as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Jackson Steward was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Frontier Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Cy Lowery, who scored 16 points along with two blocks.
Frontier Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Wellington, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.
Frontier Academy will challenge the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Estes Park is ranked 230th, while the Wolverines are ranked 254th). As for Wellington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beetdiggers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
