Jonesboro entered their tilt with Marion on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 21-6. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Hurricane have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Jonesboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from K'Den Hawkins, who rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Hawkins' longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tj Brown also helped out as he racked up 137 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jonesboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Jonesboro's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Marion's side was Noah Wendel, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Jonesboro now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Marion, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Jonesboro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-42 defeat against Sylvan Hills on the 24th. As for Marion, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-51 win against Sheridan on the 24th.
