Baseball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 13-11. They came up short against the Gahr Gladiators, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Tuesday.

As for Gahr, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Gahr's part, Julian Lucero was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Andres Gonzalez (USC), who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

While Warren had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
