Basketball Recap: Roseburg Falls Despite Big Games from Tristen Frable and Harrison Scott

Roseburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Newberg Tigers, falling 72-46. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Roseburg's loss came despite strong showings from Harrison Scott and Tristen Frable. Scott shot 45% from the field en route to 18 points, while Frable went 6-for-12 on his way to 16 points. That was a full 39.1% of the Indians' points, marking the third time in a row Scott has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Roseburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newberg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Roseburg and Churchill will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newberg will take on Franklin in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
