Volleyball Recap: Sequoyah Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sequoyah had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Dunwoody Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Chiefs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Chiefs were just returning the favor.

Sequoyah easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15.

Sequoyah was led to victory by Jessica White and Olivia Shaw. White had nine digs and two aces, while Shaw had six digs. Those two aces gave White a new career-high.

Dunwoody's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Simone Stroe, who had ten digs and one assist, and Paisley Cuttino, who had five digs and one assist.

Sequoyah's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Dunwoody, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Sequoyah has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Centennial on the 26th. As for Dunwoody, they will square off against Parkview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
