Soccer Game Preview: South Pasadena vs. Temple City

The South Pasadena Tigers will take on the Temple City Rams at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

South Pasadena is headed into the matchup having not lost since November 18 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Westlake could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Temple City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 5-1 to Oak Park. While losing is never fun, Temple City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 577th, while Oak Park are ranked ninth).

Temple City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. South Pasadena's draw makes their record 3-1-2 this season.

South Pasadena came out on top in a nail-biter against Temple City in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
