MaxPreps Regional High School Football Computer Rankings

Trinity (Euless, Texas) defeats Carroll (Southlake, Texas), moves into a tie for No. 1 in the Southwest.

All of the No. 1 teams stayed the same last week in the MaxPreps Regional Computer Football Rankings, but there was still a new No. 1.

Trinity (Euless, Texas) defeated Carroll (Southlake, Texas) 37-35 and moved into a tie with Allen for the top spot in the Southwest region.

Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) also made a big jump in the South Region rankings, entering the rankings for the first time at No. 3 after a win over De Matha (Hyattsville, Md.).



The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:

West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
