Cavalier won the last time they faced Larimore and things went their way on Friday too. The Tornadoes enjoyed a cozy 40-22 victory over the Polar Bears. The Tornadoes pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Polar Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Larimore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grant Odermann rushed for 182 yards and one TD. Those 182 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Odermann.

The win got Cavalier back to even at 4-4. As for Larimore, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cavalier will challenge North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Larimore, they will head out on the road to face off against Midway/Minto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Polar Bears will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
