Eagle Rock proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Bravo Knights 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Marcella Terrazas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Melissa Terrazas, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Oviedo, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Eagle Rock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Eagle Rock's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bravo, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

Coming up, Eagle Rock will be playing at home against Marshall at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
