Volleyball Recap: Eureka Springs Comes Up Short

Eureka Springs lost against Southwest back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Highlanders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-14, 25-12.

Leading Southwest to victory were Olivia Hnem and Emma Outhouse. Hnem had 11 digs and seven aces, while Outhouse had six digs and six aces. Those seven aces gave Hnem a new career-high.

Eureka Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Southwest, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6-1.

Coming up, Eureka Springs is taking a road trip to square off against Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest, they will challenge Everton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
