Anthony Wayne dropped down to 26-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Westerville Central Warhawks by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Generals seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Westerville Central, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 27-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.

For Westerville Central's part, the result came thanks to Elliott Long's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. Long has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westerville Central's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Pullins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Maggie Townsend also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

As of now, neither Anthony Wayne nor Westerville Central have any future games scheduled.
