The Serrano Diamondbacks will challenge the Hesperia Scorpions at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, Serrano came up short against Burroughs and fell 3-1.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Burroughs scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hesperia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Sultana by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
Hesperia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17.
Serrano better keep an eye on Kitana Tapopo. She was instrumental in Hesperia's win, getting 12 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Tapopo has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Emmy Sartoresi, who had eight digs and one assist.
Serrano's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Hesperia, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-2.
Serrano suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hesperia in their previous meeting back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Scorpions' Dylanna Akwaboah, who had eight digs and three aces.
