Basketball Recap: Gideon Comes Up Short

Gideon lost against Puxico back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gideon Bulldogs were beaten by the Puxico Indians 66-32. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gideon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Puxico, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Gideon will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarkton at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Puxico, they will challenge Twin Rivers at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Twin Rivers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Puxico surely won't give up without a fight.
