Recap: Owyhee Braves vs. Carlin Railroaders

The Owyhee Braves stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 56-23 victory over Carlin on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Owyhee has posted against Carlin since January 9, 2020.

Carlin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayona Christensen, who scored eight points.

Owyhee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Carlin, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owyhee will take on Lund at TBD on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lund has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Owyhee will arrive with three straight victories. Carlin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eureka at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Eureka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
