Wolsey-Wessington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-22 victory over Estelline/Hendricks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wolsey-Wessington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moshe Richmond, who threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown. Peyton Rainford was Richmond's top target, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while also catching two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wolsey-Wessington's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Colin Hughes and Richmond who racked up four sacks between them.
