Basketball Recap: Buckhorn Triumphs

After losing to Jackson County the last time they met, Buckhorn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Buckhorn Wildcats came out on top against the Jackson County Generals by a score of 55-48 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Buckhorn's victory bumped their record up to 10-21. As for Jackson County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Buckhorn and Jackson County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Buckhorn will face off against Jenkins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday down 128 places (236 vs. 108). Buckhorn is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Similarly, Jackson County (ranked 207th) will meet Clay County (ranked 52nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
