Basketball Recap: Sylacauga Aggies vs. Comer Tigers
The Sylacauga Aggies were the 73-18 winner over the Comer Tigers when they last played one another back in November of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Sylacauga fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 65-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Sylacauga lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Revish Bardwell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Bardwell hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Franklin, who scored 13 points.
Sylacauga has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Comer, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylacauga will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Comer, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Fighting Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
