Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Falls Short of Silver Lake in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hillsboro can now relate to. They came up short against the Silver Lake Eagles on Friday, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Hillsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zayne Haslett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hillsboro dropped their record down to 7-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Silver Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Hillsboro nor Silver Lake have any future games scheduled.
