Baseball Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Comes Up Short

Northside Methodist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They came up short against the Eufaula Tigers, falling 17-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 back in February.

Northside Methodist Academy saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Dugue, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Chase Collins also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Northside Methodist Academy's record now sits at 0-18. As for Eufaula, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-17.

Northside Methodist Academy and Eufaula could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Knights (ranked 324th) will meet Providence Christian (ranked 113th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eufaula will take on Headland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (261 vs. 58).
